Author Through a process of research, we were inspired to make something that generates an interaction between music and light. First, we had the concept of music from the ipod jackets made by a Korean brand, On&On. However, these jackets just simply generate an interaction between the soft panels and the music played in the ipod.
Indeed, we aimed for a product that uses LED as a light source in our interaction. By looking in the interactive fashion products of Lumalive from Philips, we decided to emphasize on the display of the LED, in order to show a characteristic for the wearer.
Since we have decided where to emphasize on, we started looking for a possible interaction. We did some technical research on different sensors and how they work, and decided to use a tilt sensor, so that an interaction will be created by converting music to movement(rythm) to light. Then, our member came up with the idea of making a wearable object for people who dance in clubs, which is a trendy activity in our society.
Considering sketch one is a small project, we took time and materials into our consideration when we were thinking of what kind of wearables we were doing. We decided to make something small, but any accessories would possibly will not work since people wear as less as possible when they are dancing. Therefore, we thought of making a hat, that our member see many people with a hat in clubs.We looked at many fashion website, trying to figure out what is the latest popular styles of hats.
However, most of the results we got were designed for female, while we wanted to make a unisex design that either men or women can wear and feel the interaction of our design. In fact, many of the hats in popular fashion we found are made up by having a creatively shaped design of accessory as a rather small portion on a normal simple hat as the base.
Therefore, we used our innovation and decided to design a shape of couple of furs on a hat that we bought. Since furs metaphorically represents wings, we aimed to design for the wearer to be able to “dance like a bird, express yourself with freedom”.
Here is our final production. Since we want to show the circuit, we did not cover the threads, buttons and wires. We have total 6 LEDs on the circuit. When the wearer is not dancing, LEDs flash slowly one by one in two rows, resembling the silent sign ( . . . ) in an abstract manner. LEDs also flash according to the rythm of dance, hence give attractive characteristic to the wearer.

Leather Quality: There are some easy steps to find out that a hand bag is fake or not. Firstly, see if it stands erect when placed on a surface. If the structure crumbles then it must be a duplicate one. Secondly, if it doesn’t feel heavy and less shiny then the leather must be of fake quality. Remember, the original leather doesn’t shine like a mirror.
Zippers: The zippers too say a lot about an authentic handbag. A known company gets zippers designed of its own choice and style. These zippers carry a trademark stamp of the company’s name. A fake zipper can not match the polished look of an original zipper. Also see how smoothly it works when dragged.
Stitching Quality: Look out for the coherence and alignment of the stitching patterns. The handbag should not come with missing stitches and broken thread. The bag must have a consistent stitching patterns. Also the thread must match the color of the leather.
Emblem Tags: These are regarded by many as the best source or clue to catch a fake handbag. Most of the times, these tags are attached to any side or to any corner of a bag, sometimes to the zipper also. These tags comprise of certain unique codes which are assigned to a particular manufacturer.
Authenticity Cards: No famous and known handbag manufacturer, on this earth, can make a handbag without an authenticity card. So, while buying your stuff, you must inquire about it. If the seller shows his/her inability to give you one, then better you abandon the plan to buy it. Remember, the authenticity card includes things like date of making and the place of manufacturing etc.
Logos: Not only the emblem tags and the authenticity cards denote the originality, but the small logo too, on a bag, can tell a lot. Though the fakers try a lot to imitate the originality of the logo of a particular brand, but they fail miserably as making of an original logo needs excellent expertise. It includes minute details, such as; special letters engraved and particular color patterns etc. which can remain unnoticed by the fake manufacturer. Thus the logo may appear with certain inconsistencies. Check out the spelling of the written things on a logo.
Packaging: Remember, the better the manufacturers are, the better the packaging standards of your bag is. It is so because a malfunctioning maker of a bag can’t spend too much of money on packaging, keeping in view the maker’s monetary health.
